Just unboxed my run of Claremont 'War Is Hell' #9-#15 and up on the wall they went.

I got pretty beat up on the grades, but the slab numbers are all sequential, so that's kinda cool. The backs are just as gorgeous as the fronts, visually, they are much nicer than the grade assigned, so I'm happy with how they look. Oddly enough, the off-center labels got fixed by Quality Control after the took the scans - because they are all centered correctly on the actual books. Anyways, love this run and set of books - they seem either hard-to-find in grade, or no one cares about subbing them

Always loved this Hulk cover because it reminded me of the old Kirby/Trimpe Hulk Marvelmania poster.

Not cheap and not as perfect centering as I would have liked but high grade and white pages help offset some of the shortcomings for me. Really I just got worn out looking for the perfect copy and the price was a bit under current market so pulled a trigger tonight. Either way a fantastic Adams cover, right?

If I put it somewhere else I’m sure someone would have called it Bronze. Lol There’s never been an exact date or issue with Bronze usually listed as through 1985 and Modern or Copper starting in 1986. Having actually lived through that period as a fan the change in comics was easily seen when DC destroyed their universe in Crisis (end of Bronze) and launched first Dark Knight then watchmen a few months later in 1986. Those series impacted the industry writing with the darker tone. As a reader things changed after those books.

Anyone who would have foolished complained about a Summer 1985 book not being Copper would have been totally wrong. I've never seen any one here question the copperness of any post 1982 books.

While there is no clear delineation a mid 1985 independant with Dave Stevens cover is the pretty much the very definition of Copper.

I'd call it copper but the lines are pretty blurry on Bronze these days so I'm in the not nit picky I guess it could be borderline to someone side.
