Story makes sense and the multiple pictures of interior certainly back up the story. Seller looks totally legit and honest.

Back in the seventies I remember the pre-superhero DC's were considered sub-standard and didn't elicit much interest. That seems to have changed over the last ten to fifteen years. The contents of this book are a good indication of just how intereresting these books really are and how much comics history they contain.

Just noticed that the Gulliver's Travels is by Walter Kelly, I assume some early work by Pogo's Walt Kelly, GCD database seems to confirm, listing the credit as Walt Kelly rather than Walter.

it is a 3 staple book too....but, the staples appear darkened, maybe rusty

A cool book to be sure, but not particularly rare (comparatively speaking) - I've seen quite a few over the years.

 

rick, those staples do appear rusted...but the seller indicates the rust hasn't migrated ("leached").

 

Someone will get a nice book there...
