This isn't a cover but it is interesting to see Schomburg's painting technique.

Note that the Americans are trying to save the Japanese pilot whose plane hit the aircraft carrier.

The Human Torch wasn't very concerned about the welfare of all of the people that were knocked into the snake pit.

The actual cruelty displayed by both sides during the war was greater than what was depicted in the comics.

But there were no super heroes to save the innocent victims.

Those are great covers. I found a scan of the first page of the National 18 story with the Pearl Harbor reference. And I have a better scan of my copy of Fighting Yank 12.
