Shark - who are the bottom three of the 2nd scan?

I've replaced the 2nd scan of the bullpen so you can see the names now. It's Nora Maclin, Barbara Altman and Lenny Grow. (thumbs u

Here's an inside page of Stan Lee welcoming everyone to the convention. Boy, did he look a lot younger then (almost 34 years ago). :o

He was either 52 or 53 in "75" . He does look younger, but looks more like an old time porn star. hm I wonder what REALLY went on in Stan's Bullpen!

Anybody else hear Stan's voice in your head when you read something by him...or is it just me :insane:

every time

Wow, I thought I only heard his voice. He is an icon who's voice I have heard since Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. He's in our minds!

I recently picked up a Strange Tales #86 from an eBay seller and also noticed he had something else interesting for sale (which I obviously bought). It's basically a magazine titled "Welcome to the First.... Mighty Marvel Comic Convention. It was apparently held at the Hotel Commodore in New York on March 22nd, 23rd and 24th in 1975.

I got it pretty cheap (less than $10) and thought it was a great piece of Marvel history. I'll post more pics here in a few minutes including a pic of a young Stan Lee, pics of the infamous "Marvel Bullpen" and a back cover scan of the Hulk.

I guess 'my problem' is that I was there. Here is my poster from 1975. It really is a super composition of the Marvel heroes of that time. It was my first con......jon

For example, the guy who drew this cover:

And how about the guy who drew this one?

Grinder should know. He is just out of the picture, at age 5, waiting for a signature and babbling about some Signature Series in the future. :kidaround:

Yup. My favourite is Frank Robbins.  A bit manic-looking.
