A fascinating and quite significant image. Without Seathwaite, would graphite ever have been mined ? Without graphite, would there have been pencils? Without pencils, comic artists would've been deprived of a major resource and would our hobby, as it is now, even exist? And, finally, would we be here on a comic book message board? We can't underestimate the pioneering importance of this small, largely unknown, northern English hamlet. Just think, it all started there. Thanks for sharing.
