Great book, but covers like that do put a smile on my face when you think about basic physics and the angle Spider-Man is swinging. He would plough right through those kids

He's showing an awful lot of groin to those kids.

Extremely elastic webbing, so that when it contracts the force pulls him in the same direction, horizontally here, a bit like the grappling hook in Just Cause 2.

 

He does look a bit tubby, and has clearly had too much of Aunt May's Christmas pudding.
