unrestored Action 1 to be in next comicconnect auction

878 posts in this topic

When very high profile, high dollar collectibles are to be auctioned off, they sometimes make the National news ( certain coins, stamps - like the inverted Jenny, and baseball cards - like the Honus Wagner T card ). It would be really cool, and justifed IMO, if this auction received National coverage as well........good for the hobby / good for all of us / really good for ComicConnect and the consigner!

close! $200,000
yes, but that action 4.0 looked 6.0 or better, and was downgraded due to the puncture in the cover that was not readily visible (thumbs u

I am thinking in the $300K range if a 5.5 or so :wishluck:

That is correct.

C-Link sold a 2.0 for $85,000

Esquire sold a 4.0 for $195,000

now if you go back to page 1 of this thread, and look at my auction price predictions in various grades, these 2 sales were a part of the "foundation" for projected 2009 auction sales pricing estimates.......

I say if it's a 5.5 or 6.0, that $600k is closer to the hammer price then $300k.

Exactly.......Metro and CC have hit a home run with this one, and the rest of the Team (the industry itself, including us) all get to celebrate together with them. It's really very exciting and Media coverage will be a given I would think....... (thumbs u

I wish I could take some of the credit for bringing the Action #1 to ComicConnect, but it's really the owners who deserve the kudos. Hats off to them. I can't wait to see how it grades with CGC. Along the lines of what fishbone said, we're very pleased here about sharing in the excitement with the collecting community. Thanks everyone for the support and the kind words.
