It was great meeting you, Jim.

Damn, I never realized just how ugly those shorts cgcworld was wearing actually were. hm

I was wondering if he just forgot to change from his pajamas into his street threads.

Doc is as funny in person as he is on the boards

Weeeeeeeell then, as evidenced by this picture that must have been some pretty darn exciting times at lunch.

Okay I'm back....

When I was at Richards (MrBedrock) booth I saw someone leave who looked like

Transplant so I followed him over to Brents (Quality Comix) booth and introduced

myself. I also met Ron who needs to stop lurking and start posting. ;)

Brent is trying to figure out a way to hook up a longbox to one of the USB ports on

his laptop.

Our server Hannah was a redhead which did not go unnoticed and she put up

with our smart-alecky banter. I really enjoyed hanging with these guys and even

though I was the newbie they made me feel at ease immediately. Doc is as funny

in person as he is on the boards and he is really quite the southern gentleman.

Arex, cgcworld and I excused ourselves to go to the restroom when the check

came and a half an hour later Doc realized we weren't coming back and he was

going to have to pay. lol

Actually he picked up the tab. :applause:

No picture of the redheaded server? :frustrated:

You guys really need to start a collection of these memorable servers.

So what do they serve at the Redneck Grille , besides rednecks?

I'm amazed we have got this far in your report with no photoshop wizardry :) Lucky for the victims :/
It is funny that you mentioned that. Just about every time that I took a picture, the victim usually asked about my intentions. lol I would say "no funny business, this is strictly for a con report". Well I can't guarantee this thread won't end without at least some photo-manipulation. :insane:

I kept looking at the pics waiting on the animation to kick in :roflmao:

Great report Flee, and it was great to meet and hang out with you

Well the show was definitely less spectacular than last year. Wondercon being

on the same weekend hurt because Harley, Chris Foss, Metropolis, etc were not

here. I enjoy seeing the costumes, and the media displays but my primary focus

is comics. The dealers seemed to be tucked into nooks and crannies between

odd vendors. There were vendors who were selling jewelry, dresses, swords, cell

phone plans, shampoo and even sand-art?

I knew one of the vendors from my local flea market. It seemed like they were

trying to pull in whoever they could to fill the hall.

Likewise Arex, I looked for you guys on Sunday, but Richard told me you

had just left on account of the weather. I hope to run into to you at another con. (thumbs u

I am going to try to do a straight con report first before any animation,

but I don't know how much longer I can hold out. :insane:

I was going through MrBedrocks boxes and ran across this oddity. When I

remarked at how weird the cover was he showed me the interior art. I said it

reminded me of a Shiverbones painting and he said that Matthew had a complete

set. That was reason enough for me to give it a try.

I wasn't going to come back to the show, but Richard graciously gave me a dealer

pass. (thumbs u So I skipped the madhouse on Saturday and came back on

Sunday.

Sunday, some bad weather was heading into the area and even though I got there

fairly early, a lot of forumites had already left. :( I stopped by the CFP booth and

both Inhumanfiend and Joeypost said sales were okay. One of the HOTFLIPS

gang was perusing the dollar boxes. His show was so-so and he gave me some

great deals on mylites, so I stocked up.

Your All Select art is a real stunner Flee. It was nice to see you on Friday (even if so briefly) & I'm sorry I missed you on Sunday. Great report!

I really enjoyed sitting with Richard and Rick and shooting the breeze not just

about comics, but about music and other collectibles. They both had some

suggestions as to what I should do with this picture. I will take that into

consideration. ;)

I know, there were so many forum members standing around the booth it was hard

to get around. We need to have some CFP meetings over lunch when you are in the Orlando area. :)

If I'm correct (& I don't have my pocket bylaws handy), you are this year's Lord High Chamberlain and Field Marshall in abstentia giving you full authority to convene caucus at any one of the greater Orlando area eateries and so on and whatnot.

Well one of the highlights of the show for me was to be able to hold two Marvel #1's

in my hands. I got to compare the Kansas copy with another one. The blue

color on the Kansas Marvel 1 is just amazing.

Now I just need to hold that 6.0 Action #1 (Go Gator) and my life will be complete. :cloud9:
