Tim Sale Batman, From Hell, Oink, etc.

I'm looking to let a few pieces go over the next week or so and thought I'd avoid eBay first.

I've been the only owner of these pieces since initially sold, so they've never seen circulation before, and may never again.

Tim Sale: Dark Victory #3 cover (Scarecrow) - $900 shipped in U.S.

I apologize about the glare on the piece. It is very clean and perfect.

Time Sale: Haunted Knight back cover - $300 shipped in U.S.

Also put in an appearance in the Absolute Long Halloween as an abandoned 1st cover.

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Page=1&Order=Date&Piece=277049&GSub=42848&GCat=0&UCat=0

Duncan Fegredo: Hellboy-Darkness Calls #2 p23 splash - $550 shipped

You get both the pencils

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Page=1&Order=Date&Piece=321610&GSub=42897&GCat=0&UCat=0

and the inks of course

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Page=1&Order=Date&Piece=321611&GSub=42897&GCat=0&UCat=0

This one reminds me of a cover in person.

Jill Thompson: Scary Godmother p31 - $250 shipped in U.S.

Jill's beautiful large watercolor artwork at a fraction of what she charges for these pages.

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Page=1&Order=Date&Piece=321609&GSub=42875&GCat=0&UCat=0

John Mueller: Oink splash - $1500 framed and $1300 unframed. Shipping dependent on where you are in U.S.

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Page=1&Order=Date&Piece=277317&GSub=42892&GCat=0&UCat=0

The viewing size of the page in the frame is whopping 12" x 19" and the outer dimension of the frame is a massive 26" x 33". Tripple matted and a matching fillet too. Note: the small piece as the bottom of the art is a color print John created to match the large painting, to use as a sort of stat. When framed, you can't tell the difference, and it looks great on there.

PM me with any questions!

Thanks

I've had a couple lowball offers and tirekickers abound, but the art listed above is still here.

Willing to drop the prices on the Fegredo and Mueller pieces slightly if anyone's been interested in them.

Thanks!

Here's a couple items I've never posted on CAF.

John K. Snyder III - Dr. Midnite painted page $80 including shipping in U.S.

Big & beautiful, with John's usual electrified colors.

Mark Wheatley - Vertigo Sampler (Painted colors) Sold!!!!

OK, this one's a tough one to describe. It's not a color guide. These 2 pieces are the ACTUAL painted colors reproduced in the comics. Sean Phillip's & Chris Bachalo's inks were transferred onto watercolor paper with a thin plastic backing (to avoid rippling) and Mark water colored the pieces. Similar to how Bradstreet does his separate inks and colors. The interior page also contains some collaged bits of paper, used for narration boxes in the completed comic. These were from a Vertigo sampler book that DC put out when Sandman was in it's heyday and Vertigo was just taking off as a brand. Both are full 11" x 17" pages and would look super rad framed. The painted color is super vibrant (probably Dr. Martin pure watercolor pigments) and very clean.

Paul Smith: Madman Commission - SOLD

Total badassery

Steve Lieber: Whiteout - $260 shipped in U.S.

Lots of zip and of course whiteout used to great effect in a rare action page from the series.

Mike Allred: Madman splash - SOLD

I'm listening. May or may not let it go depending on what comes in.

Andi Watson: Deadman commission - $100 shipped in the U.S.

Andi did this for me ages ago. He is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met in the industry and he also happens to hardly ever sell his art and as far as I know never does commissions.

This is a top notch finished piece with beautiful black inks.

http://www.comicartfans.com/Images/Category_7723/subcat_42972/AndiDM.jpg

He told me he enjoyed doing this so much, he colored it on the computer and included a color print of it when he shipped me the piece.

If I raise the money I need, I'll be pulling the rest off the market.

Hit me with a PM if you have any questions.

I have been on a buying spree lately as well (including one of Eric's pieces) but if I hadn't just over extended myself as it is...(including a Buy It Now on ebay last night that I quite simply don't have the money for and will be contributing to the world's credit crisis) there are some GREAT deals here. Yeah, that Jill Thompson Scary Godmother was a steal. Great pick up. And as Eric knows I like the decomposing pumpkin, and was willing to pay the original price, but then went away and spent the money... but great stuff here at great prices.
