nearmint's Nedors...get 'em while there's still a few left!

Small market base here on the boards. Can't expect everything to sell.

Have you thought of contacting Steve Borock and seeing if you can get a lower mark-up on Heritage? Never hurts to ask and I think they'd do better in one of Heritage's signature auctions.

I'd like to buy the Exciting 31 but, hey, I can't buy them all....

Yes, I talked to Steve a few months ago, before I'd made the final decision to sell. But with Heritage, even if you can get the seller's commission down to zero, that 19% buyer's commission is still going to eat into your profit.

I may just put what doesn't sell here on my website. I'm in no hurry, especially now that I've built a tidy nest egg for the May auctions and the convention in San Diego.

Well, I don't know if any Nedor collectors have any money left, but I'm going to list some books that I didn't sell via PM today. Shipping is $10 no matter how many you buy!

Pretty sure this is the very last one...

America's Best Comics #6 CGC 9.2 White pages, Classic Cover $2950

This copy was professionally pressed by Matt Nelson to remove a thumb indentation on the bottom of the front cover. The grade did not change.

Small market base yes, but I think 75% of all the high grade Nedor collectors out there are Boardies, and as strapped as everyone is, Jeff still had excellent sell-through in just a day and a half, at what would be GPA record prices on practically every book. If only Bob Overstreet caught wind of this sale and its results...maybe the Guide wouldn't be such a joke for Nedors....nah, doubt it. :makepoint:

Nedors = Smokin' hot. :flamed:

I actually wanted to thank the person who nabbed the Fighting Yanks before me....it kept me from totally going overboard. :applause:

Anyone know of an Exciting #7 for sale?

:baiting:

I thought Metro had one...or ComicConnect...the Mile High copy.....

...or are you talking about a Thrilling # 7?

- Alex Schomburg's first Nedor cover.

- Classic cover designation by Overstreet.

- Scarce book, only the Mile High copy grades higher (with only two others, both 6.0s, at all on the census.)

- OW/W pages on a book from 1940.

Nah, I don't think anyone would want my copy....

Sorry for posting a scan in your thread Jeff...I just like teasing Roy with it... :baiting:
