Does CGC offer on-site grading and/or signature series submissions at this con?

It's about an hour drive for me, so I'm there if they do. Wow, what a guest list.

- Gotta get a Kirkman sig on my Walking Dead #1 and Invincible #1.

- Gotta do the double sig with Len Wein & Herb Trimpe on my Hulk 181

- Any other Evan Dorkin fans out there? Bringing my old Milk & Cheese comics!!

- Claremont, Jusko, Lunas, Moore, Oeming, Ottley, Perez, Silvestri, Starlin, Wagner and Waid... WOW what a list to choose from. I'll probably spend all my $$ on getting my own books SS.

that is pretty much the same thing i am doing, i have a bunch of blank covers but i doubt i'll have the money to pay for the sketch and submitting the books on top of all the ss books i want to get.

I wonder if there will be any good CGC dealers there?

At Heroes Con (in Charlotte) if you didn't know dealers on the side

the pickin's were either slim or they wanted for you pay out the nose

for them...

Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying good money for a solid book -

but some of the prices I saw on CGC stuff in Charlotte was nutzo!

(but again I think that was because there wasn't much competition as far as graded books).

I don't believe that was true. Rick and Dale both had slabs and they were giving discounts where they could. Harley might have been a little high, but when is he not?

I know that, but that only about 2 or 3 booths worth...

I was hoping for more, since Doughnut was talking this up so much.

I look for very selective stuff, it just would be a nice surprise this was different.

There were some booths (and I am not talking about Rick, Dale or Harley)

that had their HG ASMs marked almost 2 to 3 X OS guide. It's good if they

can get that - but don't expect me to be a Big enough Wig to shell out that $$$...

Oh, you wanted cheap slabbed HG Silver Age Spidey books. :screwy:

not cheap, I pay well (just ask the people I buy from)...

but not triple guide either, thanks.

But SA wasn't the only eye openers though, I saw some CA and Modern Spideys

priced to kill at that show as well.

But don't take my word for it John(jeBailey) was having the same thoughts

(two spidey freaks competing for the same books go figure) and the only reason I

found a couple of books to buy at that show was because I knew of dealers that

were going and lined stuff up in advance.

I haven't, as I don't really spend my time in the Inner Harbor.

I once ate at Hooters, but got sick. I was at the ESPN Zone years ago when they first opened, and also got sick. Hoolihan's (or however its spelled) is pretty good. Like I said before, Tir Na Nog is exceptional as far as Inner Harbor places are concerned.

Ryan's Daughter in Belvedere Square (in the city, not near the Inner Harbor) is an Irish Pub, but they're almost always empty (save for St. Patty's day). That being said though, the food is really good there, and I've been to many parties there over the past year. The service is great, the bartenders are wonderful, and they're very accommodating.

Cross Street Market, a mere 10-20 minute walk from the convention center, is easily my favorite spot in Baltimore. I get sushi there every Saturday, but they have other seafood there, as well as a small hibachi grill (which is really good), a sandwich shop, a fried chicken place, and an excellent bakery. The food and beer is decently priced, and it's always very fresh. I can't recommended this place enough to people who come to visit Baltimore, really.

If I could figure out a lie she might buy, I might say it...

I would never be forgiven if I missed this though.
