showcase22gr1959
Is the 8.5 a sale of one of the existing books on the list or is this another copy? It's the Mound City 8.0 which was pressed to an 8.5 which was mentioned before in the threads. (thumbs u

Currently a 4.0 would run around $1300-1500 and a 5.0 $2500-3000. Copies with off-white pages add 10%. Copies with off-white/white pages add 15%-25%. Copies with white pages xxx???. Copies that are 6.0+ command a little extra. (thumbs u Edited February 12, 2010 by showcase22gr1959

Your 3.0 is a $900 - $1000 book, but since it was a nice old label copy you might be able to get a bump up to 3.5 on a resub based on the recent 3.5 copies we have seen on the market. tth2
I'm surprised you guys aren't tracking the daily movements of the 8.5 copy on ComicLink. We're more interested in the daily movements of the 9.4 GL #1 on Heritage. (thumbs u Yes, I'm tracking both SC22 8.5 and GL1 9.4. Hopefully some tremendous record prices for both. I meant posting the daily movements here.

showcase22gr1959
There are some great copies of Showcase 22 in the market right now, and below are valuations based on past sales. As mentioned before, copies 4.5 and under has seen a 10-15% price correction, but is not reflected on this list. We will find out if copies 5.0+ will confirm the price up trend and price stability for 5.0+. This is the first time a 8.5 label (former 8.0) is in the market and will it hit the price target? The last 6.5 crm/ow on ComicLink sold for $6100 and 7.0 off-white Foolkiller copy sold for $9000...and let's see if this trend continue. Below is a list of the current estimate prices for SC22. Of course, these prices are for cream/off white pages, but if your copies have off-white pages add a 10% premium and off-white to white pages add 15-25% premium. 9.2 $80000-$100000 9.0 $40000-50000 8.5 $30000-35000 8.0 $15000-20000 7.5 $10000-12000 7.0 $7500-8500 6.5 $6000-7000 6.0 $5000-5500 5.5 $3500-4000 5.0 $2500-3000 ------------------------------- 4.5 $2000-2300 4.0 $1700-2000 3.5 $1300-1500 3.0 $900-1200 2.5 $800-900 2.0 $600-700 Edited February 16, 2010 by showcase22gr1959

The bigger question in my mind is whether this book ends up resurfacing as a 9.6 in short order. It's very possible, sad to say. The book is really immaculate, very clean and bright. I think the main thing that brought it "down" to a 9.4 was the slight "crimp" on the upper edge of the front cover. I think this is fairly apparent even in the scan, and would be very obvious in person. I've never pressed a book, but I would guess that it's something that could be pressed out very easily and lead to a 9.6 on resub. So potentially a big cha-ching for someone. . The most noticeable defect on this book is a 3/16 of an inch stress line that break color on the green part at the spine near the yellow L. Since you have own the book since 2003, can you explain to us the two white streak lines on the puppet's ribbon and the streak line in the yellow G. Are does cause by printing? Otherwise, very clean book to me. Edited February 16, 2010 by showcase22gr1959
