Damnit! I was waiting in line to register the little guy for hockey and missed out on a decent SC #22 deal with the 6.0 only going for $4060. I should have put in a place holder bid at $4500 like I was thinking of doing, but I doubted that would be enough. :frustrated:

The 4.5 went for more than I thought it would (too much creasing for my taste), but the 3.5 went for a decent price. I guess the corner tear/chip did it in?

Whoever won the 6.0 ow, got a great deal. Recently, with a 6.5 ow sold for $6500 and a 5.5 ow/w for $4300. I was astonish of the low price on this copy since it had a great eye appeal . I know how you feel. This is a great copy for you, and it slipped away. Think about it this way, you'll strike it again with comics next time and share with us.

When I start collecting again I am going to focus on GA books. The 6.0 SC #22 would have been nice to add at that price for a potential flip closer to the movie. lol

I don't see one book is a trend.

No but a half a dozen are. SC22, AF15, TOS 39, JIM 83 are still hot but somthing else will be the it thing for next year. The thing about the SC22 run is that we only pulled one high grade book out of woodworks. I would have thought more would have appeared.

BTW- How in the world is this book still ranked below Flash 105 in the Top Ten Silver Age books? It is more important, more valuable, and more rare and I am a Flash guy.

I think if this SC 22 6.0 was in a Sept or Nov auction, it would have done better. The summer month lows can't be overlooked. I know even though it's nearing the end of the vacation season, people are still more active doing other things than looking at comic auctions.....

I agree. That could have been one of the factors. Let's see how the trend will be when more copies come out of the wood works.

SC22 is scarce compare to most SA Marvels. If SC22 was not scarce as these counterparts, the prices would not have been this high. Only one SC22 above 7.0 surface since last year fall which is the Mound City copy. It has been very well documented that any copies above 5.0 is where in become scarce. For some of the long time SC22 specialist like Gator, kimik, peewee22, greegreece, Krytospidey, and I (not to mentioned others) have stressed 6.0+ has been where it has been so difficult to locate. It took me many years to find any raw copies above 6.0+. One of the few high grade copy with great PQ was the 6.0 ow/w which Mark Wilson have offered a few years back. I have spoke to him that day when the auction ended and he and I was amazed by the high price it ended. I still didn't believe the hammer price and thought that was just one sale and it was not a trend. Fortunately, I've found my 6.0 white pager just months after the 6.0 Mark sale, which I had the pleasure to see it out of it's shell. I believe this is the best preserved copy in the world. It has great snow white pages even greater than most of my other white pager comics. Flash 105 has been doing quite well lately. There has been some strong prices. The prices hasn't moved much the last five years, but I was astounded when my 6.0 ow sold for over $2500 in CL last month and the not to mention the 8.0 sold for $5620. I know you are a Flash guy and may be biased, but to compare SC22, we should compare it to SC4. Many of us use the OSPG as a tool, so I would not pay to much to the ranking there.

Someone got a steal on that 4.5 (4.5 crm/ow Ebay $1030 8/25/10).

Indeed! :o You could buy a 3.0-3.5 for that price

If we use the OSPG, it sold near guide price. According to the seller, he got full guide. :insane:

 Whatever makes him happy I guess
