I wonder what he would say if someone offered him $50 for the whole thing..

Hmmm...good idea, perhaps an offer of "I can't do 475 on the lot, but would be willing to go as high as 50 - lmk!" would wrap this scam up?? 893crossfingers-thumb.gif

You must be one BSD for them to keep offering you that collection.......

27_laughing.gif27_laughing.gif Nah...I'm pretty sure they'll scam the rich, poor, downtrodden and/or destitute as long as they come up with the $$$!

Anyone with 500,000 to blow on comics is not going to come near that guy with a nickel - for that price you could conceivably get all the books mentioned CGC'd makepoint.gif instead of off someone nobodies ever heard of and books sight unseen. foreheadslap.gif

I wasn't going to bid until I saw The Maxx #1 and The Human Fly #1. I mean, Detective #1, sure, that's worth something, but not ONE of the places that could sell me Detective #1 also had copies of The Maxx #1 and The Human Fly #1. One-stop shopping, to fully complete my collection!!!

Do you think I could convince him to break these gems out of his collection and sell separately? I've beentrying to complete my 80's run of 'the worst 1st issues ever'

I'm surprised they don't have all of the Marvel price variants. Maybe that's the set they'll sell for a million 893scratchchin-thumb.gif27_laughing.gif

Jeez man, you guys are already getting a deal here. When he first started on Ebay, the opening bid was $8 million. Now it's down to this? You guys show no appreciation for this dealer's willingness to haggle and bargain insane.gif
