I never want to own more than 1000 comics at a time. I had about 3000 a few years ago(modern [!@#%^&^]), and dumped most of them on a friend. I still have about 1500 of them sitting in storage. Now that I collect older high grade stuff, I don't want my personal collection to ever exceed 1000-1200 books. And whenever/if ever it does, I will do some spring cleaning and increase the quality of my books(higher grades) and reduce the quantity.

wow .. there are people owning >50,000 comics. If each comic is orginally bought for $3 each, that's at least $150,000 spent! Oh boy! I sure wish I'm that well-off.

 

Well off? We're always on the borderline of bankruptcy because we have spent all our money on comics.
