I enjoy how relaxed and easy this cover looks. I really appreciate it when traditional, cultural and/ or historic moments are being depicted in comic books. Especially if they're drawn in a non-offensive way.

Has anyone noticed that Fawcett used some Raboy art on the Jr. covers well after Mac had left the company? I was looking at #57 and #59 in particular. The art for #59 was used in the newspaper picture Freddy is holding on the cover of Master Comics #45 so I'm sure that is by Raboy. I don't think it was redrawn either. These must have been leftover covers from their inventory and they a lot different than the artwork for the surrounding issues.

What I really enjoy about Raboy's superheros is that he didn't make them all steroid-ripped -- they look human. Particularly CMJr., who is basically a teenage superhero. The character looks like a skinny teen with a cape. Really refreshing to see, even after the passage of 70 years.

I don't have many Golden Age, but I do have these.

This is in poor condition. It's complete, but the cover is split all the way down the spine and detached. It only cost me $20, so I'm not complaining.

A dealer gave this to me as thanks for hooking him up with a seller who sold him a large golden age collection.
