Do SIGNATURES hurt the book?

124 posts in this topic

Until I saw a Frazetta signature, I would have said "hurt the book." His signature is "art" in itself and those signatures of his that I have seen show excellent taste in placement that does not detract from the cover art. I cannot say the same for anyone else. Some of the "big" names in the industry deface the book with a talentless scrawl. (tsk) So, "OK" for Frank, "hurt the book" for everyone else.

In my case I had an AF#15 restored CGC 6.5 trimmed . I had it signed because I believe it would increase the value of the book alittle more than if it wasn't

Signatures scrawled in an indecipherable mess, hurt the book...

Too many sigs, hurt the book...

Signatures, properly placed, help the book...

If you are gonna get a CGC SS... why get the sig where you will never see it? The cover is all...
