I just came back from last minute shopping and some old geezer in the shopping parking lot was complaining that the kid who was ringing the bell was ringing it too loud for the Salvation Army.

wow! hello, the kid was trying to raise money for the unfortunate. This guy looked like a real life version of Uncle Scrooge, at first when I was leaving the store and heard him complaining I thought he must be joking, then me and this lady turned around and looked at him and knew he wasn`t.The manager had to go over and tell the guy to leave or he would be escorted off the parking lot. What a this old geezer was, he made the kid ringing the bell feel bad. Poor kid out in the freezing new england weather trying to raise money and has to put up with someone like that. Some people just don`t get it.

But then would his head be half dented or half straight?

if they do, its probally a minimum wage part-time job at best, its still no reason to scream at him and make a scene in front of a lot people. the old geezer was lucky that security didn`t grab and stomp on him. ah the Christmas Holiday Spirit.

Merry Christmas everyone,I going to go spend some time with my kids and count my blessings that I am not like that old geezer.

:D

I hope you went right over to the kid and donated some spare change. That is a very good charity to give to as they do alot for families in need.

Good idea. Of course we all think better in retrospect, but how good would it have been to donate and say, "thank you for ringing the bell loudly, I almost missed you."

I suspect an elaborate marketing scheme by the Salvation Army where they hire an old geezer (in this case played by "the old geezer") to make a scene about the bell ringing too loud and the resulting sympathy jacks up the day's donation totals.

I happen to live in the Jewish part of Baltimore, and the gym where I worked at closed at 4pm today. People were crying and whining about how it's not fair for us to close, and how dare we be closed tomorrow too.

Seriously, we close for Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur, so we also close for Christmas! Some people...
