These phrases dominate the most viewed pieces for the day and week on CAF's home page. I didn't know so many art collector's needed to get laid so badly. There is way too much smut on that site. It's 10 times worse than the stuff people have up that they no longer own. Maybe Bill should offer an Adult Premium Service, he'd probably make a mint. So many classic's on the site such as Jubilee giving The Juggernaut a hummer...b i t c h.

One person's smut is another's art. Olivia draws and paints women who are TOPLESS and have their BREASTS exposed. Is that smut? Should that be part of the Adult Premium Service? There is the pinupfans.com sister site but it only has 60 members if Naked, topless and breasts dominate the most viewed on caf wonder why so few join the pinupfans site.

i have to totally agree with J. Cud, this is something that has been bothering me for a little while now, in the last year or so i have noticed that comicartfans has been flooded with very tasteless garbage of women in very demeaning poses that aren't even drawn that great. What do u guys do with these drawings anyway??? I mean what type of person would go out and buy some cartoon drawing of a woman with unrealistic proportion exposing herself, i understand that we are men but why not just get a playboy issue and rip out the pages or why not try to actually find yourself a real women instead of a cartoon.

I know that we are all different and have different tastes but i am trying to find out what the appeal is, i mean do you guys hang these up in your homes?? i personally would be embarrassed.

No it isn't just you, I can't believe the poor quality or bad anatomy in many of the pieces that are posted in some CAF galleries. Some the artists seem to just draw the huge boobs and the character is an after thought. The ones that really creep me out are the ones that just have superheroes having sex. I mean if you are into that, then goto the adult book store not the comic book store.

I think the nude has been a staple of fine art since cave paintings. I do think some of the art strays well outside of "fine," however. But I wouldn't want to banish it to another site because then the good stuff will be forced to mingle with the open season for porn you'd be creating by giving it its own site.

 

I do kinda hate that I can't look at CAF at work, but would definitely rather that then not be able to appreciate the pieces that are well done.

To each his/her own. Not for me personally.

 

I'm surprised though that the site is not more regulated with regard to that. If you are going to allow exposure to be posted that might be inappropriate for younger viewers, then shouldn't there be the standard warning "No one 18 years of age, etc."

 

Just amazed that hasn't came up yet. Comics still connote "children" for many people.

All things being equal, I notice that the sexier stuff gets far more views. I have some nice SA and BA DC and Marvel covers and splash and some interior pages in my gallery, and what gets the most views, by far? The Budd Root Cavewoman splash page. Not making judgements here, just saying that on CAF, for sure, sexy, scantily clad (or not clad at all) woman get the most attention, again, aside from the mega, mega gosh wow key stuff.
