Grade my X-Men 101

So - whaddaya think? Color is amazing! The top staple flaw shows a hint (1/16") view of the inside pages (in other words a very small tear away from the bottom of the top staple) that the scanner doesn't pick up when you look straight at the spine..

Normally I'd wait for someone alse to grade before me so I could copy and look like an educated grader .

But I'll give my un-educated guess which is 9.0.

the corners are pretty rounded and there.s that staple thingy you pointed out (i think you can see the tiny paper pull from the back view)>

 

in addition, there seem to be a number of spine creases just visible in the white edge that's exposed due to the miswrap. and unfortunately, when that much white gets exposed, it's often a bit soiled.

 

i'm still gonna go with an 8.0

Id say 7.5-8.0 based on the rounded corners and staple tear.

Comic does have a few stress cracks along the "white" part of the spine. Any color there and they would be a lot more noticeable...so....7.5.
