How I fared:

First three books: pretty darned good.

Iron Man: disaster. :ohnoez:

Iron Man was a disaster for everyone- I think the deciding book was the ASM. Grades ranged from 6.5- 9.2 on that book. I think anyone who gave it an 8.5 or higher missed the corner crease at the lower right FC.

Was there a stain on the ASM spine? Both FC & BC?

I went 8.0 on the ASM. That wasn't a corner crease at the lower right FC. It was an entire-cover crease. I propose that once a corner crease is so big that it's no longer within 2" of the actual corner, it can no longer be considered a corner crease.

My grades:

ASM: 8.0

Avengers: 9.0 (spot on)

Fear: 9.8 (spot on)

IM: 9.4 (ugh)

Considering I had no faith in my grades this round, it's pretty sweet to end up tied for the highest score of the round. :whee:

here is my sub for round 16

player = Etanick

1) ASM = 6.5 (too harsh)

2) AVengers = 8.5 (close)

3) Fear = 9.8 (spot on)

4) Iron man = 8.5 (close)

overall, I am happy to make to the next round

:tonofbricks: That ASM 59 killed me. Should have deducted more for that corner crease.

Oh well...great time regardless. Best to the final 8 (post OT game). (worship)

:foryou:

Tough, tough competition this year. Really difficult books.

I hope I can progress further than last year, but I'm facing BUTM.:sick:

..i changed my grade with the ironman addendum, and lost because of it doh!

I Fd up .I actaully had the I Man spot on after the addendum but I edited my original PM as I was NOT supposed to do doh!

Well congrats to my opponent..

I also learned I need to grade bronze higher as all my bronze grades throughout this entire contest were too low .My silver age grading was outstanding but bronze was a disaster for me..

Maybe next year..

I want to thank Tom for doing this as it has been a lot of fun :applause: not only the grading but the smack talk as well..

Good luck to all the teams still left (thumbs u
