MKs WW Anaheim report

So it seems like Wizard's interest in the comic media is declining. Yeah, I know C2E2 was this weekend too, but Wizard is becoming more of a has-been, porn star, b-lister's show than a comic show. The artist alley was the smallest to date. The biggest name was Simon Bisley, who had more vodka shots during the con than fans waiting on line. I attended the show for CGC, which is always a blast, so I had fun, but the show itself sucked badly. Here were some of my highlights :cool:

Looking at the background of the pix, sure seems empty
:eek: well, Terry O'Neil opted to go to Chicago instead of doing a show in his own backyard--that should say something about the quality of the show from a comics perspective.

I had a good time over there on Saturday.

The highlight of my day was getting to meet and talk to Gemma at the CGC Booth. She was very nice and very helpful with my submission and my Suydam SS book.

I was expecting something like San Diego, boy was I surprised. Really small and it only took about 3 hours to walk the floor 3 complete times, I also stopped 2 times to watch some girls dancing around on a little tiny stage and had a pizza.

I guess once you've been to San Diego everything else pales in comparison.

She canceled due to a scheduling conflict. Yeah, I know. How this didn't take precedence I have no idea.

She seems to make a habit of canceling cons. She did the same to Toronto.
