I really like that book, and I have 2 of them, but a couple things bug me about the cover...Why is the street and city at an angle, and how does Thor spin that hammer around without spinning with it?  Everything else on the cover is totally believable...:insane:

Yeah the Thor axis of rotation there makes no sense. I find that Avengers 4 has cover color issues. Its a book best bought in person. I've seen some with real bright colors and a lot of others with kind of a flat , faded, or washed out color looking appearance. Just weak color basically. Lots of variation in the cover covers is what I'm saying and it can be hard to find a real nice one especially when going only by scans.

For the longest time I have been holding out to get a 9.8 copy of Daredevil #8, HAIL STILT-MAN!!!, but with how the book has kept creeping up it didn't make sense to invest that much for my casual set (you can see my registry set here). 9.4+ copies have gone up to such a degree that buying a 9.2 screamed to be a very good deal (9.2 is half the price of 9.4, which in turn is half the price of 9.6, and that being half the price of 9.8. Below 9.2 it gets less extreme so this was the sweet spot in value).

Found this copy and it is absolutely STUNNING in hand. In fact, if it wasn't for a single corner defect on the back (and very very veerryyy minor tanning that seems more noticeable in this picture than looking at it in person), I would be happy putting it easily at 9.6 or even 9.8 on a good day due to how tight and crisp the corners and edges are. Spine is perfect, colors solid and rich, and paper clean and without any blemishes (anything you might see in the pic is on the bag or case due to lighting) 

In my mind that little tiny piece of paper missing on the back was basically worth $4,000 (9.8 GPA being $4,500 minus what I paid for this book) :D  I like thinking about defects that way.

Oh noooooo...it's missing a $4k piece of paper...whatever shall I do? It's worthless now!! :D haha

All good humor contains at least a kernel of truth.

But I'm pretty sure Thor can get his hands behind his head while still holding the hammer and without spinning around.
