Today, I went to our state's annual spring Comic Con,

...in the "Queen City" of Manchester, New Hampshire.

Manchester used to be noted as the biggest manufacturing city of the northeast, but now is mainly known for the place where the "Canteen Boy" Adam Sandler grew up.

The lines weren't that bad this year.

...and there was more vendors too.

I couldn't find any decent copies of anything on my friend's lists or for myself, but I did see a nice non-signed Mouse Guard Sketchbook in 9.8 condition. But, it was missing the top staple(cruel green label of death irony).

I went mainly to meet Cliff Rathburn and get a Walking Dead sketch.

He was a really nice guy, but he forgot his drawing supplies. But, he did hook me up with this original art piece that was the pin up to Walking Dead #51, he doodled one day.

This was his only Walking Dead piece he brought and gave me this Invincible piece too and a bunch of his comics for free. Awesome guy!

Me being an Atom Eve fan. :luhv:

My helper Jen(sexyghoul here) is a big Sara Richard fan, and asked for a Punisher sketch.

A very pretty and talented artist, IMHO.

The role playing crowd. I got quite a few "what are you lookin' at" glances.

A group of beautiful girls that had an army of guys follow them all over when they came in lol .

The Ghostbusters of New Hampshire! I guess Vigo is still suffering from Carpathian kitten loss lol .

...and the always reliable Star Wars peeps.

But, I think this biker scout had one too many though.

All in all, it was a great comic-con that got really packed within 90 minutes. Even though, I didn't get any back issues(no Cursed Pirate Girls anywhere), I had fun. Up here in New Hampshire, we usually get a fall show in Concord too. So, I'll look foward to that one in the coming months.

She never smiles. Ever. :(

Buy her a My Little Pony shirt. That'll cheer her right up.

:roflmao: I think she would probably prefer the My Apocalypse Pony shirt instead. :insane:

hm

Jen doesn't seem especially thrilled with the sketch.

Why does she look like she want beat the out of someone ?
She's in her Punisher character's costume so she could get in free (shrug) .

But, actually it was a long drive to get there and it was hot too .
