PRETTY BOOK OF THE DAY: 02/22/04:

11 posts in this topic

Thanks. This is one of my all-time favourite books ! I love the idea that the Thor and Hulk fans would actually demonstrate on the streets as to who is stronger. 27_laughing.gif

I mean everyone knows Thor kicks his 893censored-thumb.gif any day of the week ! sign-rantpost.gif

The odd thing about this copy is that it only has a single flaw. The colour-breaking stress around halfway down the spine is the only thing keeping it from 9.6 upwards. confused-smiley-013.gif

Great book.

But something I could never figure out about this cover; Isn't Thor supposed to be the only one who can pick up his own Hammer? I think Cap did it once because he's "pure of heart" or something, but how is Hulk playing tug-of-war with it?

Thor asks Odin to lift the enchantments off the hammer for sixty seconds so he can match himself fairly against The Hulk, after which The Hulk tries to snap it in two. Once the enchantments are back on, Hulk can no longer lift it from the ground.
