Why is the Overstreet guide so late this year?

I was wondering when the damn thing was coming out, and found out it's not until July 28. If memory serves me, he book is typically released in May. Anybody know why it's so late this year?

They had to go through and make massive corrections of all the prices they have been getting wrong for so many years.

yah, lotta errors in the 2009 ed. Typically, it's out in March/April each year but they needed an extension this year

I heard the publisher Gemstone may have had some financial problems, I really hope that trend doesn't continue because I really like the Guide.

They timed it to come out for the San Diego Con.

Ostreet timed the release of the 40th anniversary hardcover with Conan #1 alternate cover to raise $$ for HERO Initiative charity at SDCC. Ltd to 500 copies, I believe.

There is one benefit to the delay. Usually, it came out just before April 15 so

we were faced with "do the taxes or read the guide." That problem is now solved.
