For a breakfast treat, head over to Richard Walker's Pancake House on Front Street. Great service and great food. :cloud9:

Or may I suggest Cafe 222 at 222 Island St. Great breakfast food, outdoor seating, good coffee.

Take some time out to eat and have lunch & get away from all the freaking people! This will both keep up you're energy & take away from the stress of the con :D I went in 08 & felt like I was going to get trampled sometimes lol

You won't get trampled on Sat., as most Twilight fans are upstairs lining up for 3 hrs to get into a seminar they have no interest in so they can move up closer to the front row for the next Twilight panel. :o

Depending on what you are interested in, don't forget the fan art, garage kits on the 2nd floor and the charity original comic art auction. Bring a master list with the dealer or artist/inker booth # you need to visit, a LARGE water bottle, power bars, cash, sketch paper :gossip: in your knapsack.

Keep your wallet in your front pocket, not your back pocket. Theft is rampant, but hardly reported. Have had two buddies get their wallets swiped in 2008 and 2009.

Cowards don't have the courage to do it face to face.

Regarding women in costumes, ask their permission. ALL of them say yes and will do a pose for you. Be nice and thank them afterwards.

PLAN. San Diego isn't a con you just want go to and wander around. Get a program guide, go through and figure out who you want to see (and map out where they are located) and what panels you want to go to. Be warned, there is a good chance 2 panels you want to see will overlap and you'll have to make some hard choices.

Go through Artists Alley at least once, some GA/SA/BA/CA/Modern greats will be set up there and are available for commissions and/or conversations. Your mind might be blown that you can just walk up to a giant of the industry and shoot the breeze with them.

A long but excellent source of tips is here. It's worth your time to read through it and take it into consideration: http://www.comicsreporter.com/index.php/comic_con_by_the_numbers_200_tips_insights_and_cogent_observations_regardin/
