Its laughable that there is a 8 page thread shooting down a movie that no one has watched :makepoint:
:gossip: It must really be that bad.

why would ahyone bother wasting one thin dime going to see something that has been nearly universally panned? i'd rather give my $ to someone that knows how to make movies- Pixar.

It does seem hard for comic westerns to make the transfer to the silver screen - Moebius's magnificent Blueberry series (thoroughly recommended if you can get hold of them) was turned into a film in France, and got panned as well.

Toy Story 3 was awesome (although a little dark for a kids movie about toys  ).

Great movie, but I agree. During the furnace/hell scene, I half expected to see Chuckie come out and make an appearance. My 6-year-old daughter had nightmares and was saying "I don't wanna go to daycare! I don't wanna go to daycare!" while asleep.

Thanks for saying so - I was kicking around the idea of taking my high-strung 3-year-old.

I haven't seen the movie, but the previews and trailers didn't look like a western. It seemed as if it was based more on the Hex series than the Jonah Hex series.

Personally, I think whoever at DC saw Jonah Hex as a box office draw was either a complete buffoon, or a total fanboy. It would only work with the perfect director/producer.

I was just telling my brother the same thing last night....He saw it and isn't into comics.

Of course I used explitives instead of "buffoon" and "fanboy."
