Baltimore Forum Dinner

Okay, time to get serious folks. So this is IMPORTANT and please read and reconfirm:

I've arranged for McCormick and Schmick's (not the grill, the main one) at the Inner Harbor. I need to secure a minimum of 30 people, and so I need you all to confirm that you'll be okay with the cost as well. To be here, with a private room, you are probably looking at roughly $50 a head.

I hope this doesn't price too many people out, but the reality is, this is what it will cost for so many people to get together with the private room.

This is my list thus far with people who I know will attend, cost not withstanding. I am going to shoot for 8 PM to allow people to get into town. I'll need 30 confirmed by Monday. If there's 40, I can do a buffet (which I'd love to do) at $37.50 a head.

Brian Ketterer

David Miller

Mary Ann (most likely)

Scott (her boyfriend)

Brian Kondravey (sp?)

Steve Borock

Bob Storms (most likely)

Bruce Coller

Baltimore Lauren + boyfriend

Han

Everyone else, with this in mind, let me know again, and I will edit this list.

If I don't have enough people by Monday, I'll have to see what the situation will be with the dinner and if we'll be able to organize one in this fashion at all.

My wife and I (Rita and Jake Farbman) are going to Geppi's when we get to Baltimore on Friday afternoon and then are coming to the dinner. I, however, suffer from severe food allergies, so I will more than likely need to have the folks make me something separate from the buffet. Let me know if this causes a problem.

Thanks again for setting this up!

I'm looking forward to seeing you! I feel that a con is a great way to start up the school year.....though it begs the necessity of finding one for a mid-semester break tbh. =P

New York Comic Con in October... it isn't quite mid-way, but it'll have to do!

The room is always an issue and if you want to have a lot of people and get some half way decent food, you need to have a private room.

$50 (or thereabouts) is about right for the cost on this type of thing.

When I did the dinner at Maggiano's in Philly it was roughly the same. It's more in NYC.

I wish I could make it $20 a head, but at a decent restaurant, it's going to be more.

Regardless, the more people who come, the easier it is to drive down the cost to the buffet level.

I'm sure I can also pick up a few people at the show as well.
