Those pink harbingers (only about 3,000 -3,500 exist) are pretty hard to find actually. They were sendaways.

 

I'm not sure about an Ultra Pro giveaway. Haven't heard of that one.

If you went over to valiantcomics.com with some sort of list I bet that you could get rid or a decent amount of them. I know that I am looking for a few books to fill in holes in my collection..make up some sort of list..sell them @ .25 each buyer pays shipping and make everyone buy at least 25 bucks worth plus shipping. that way you dont get nickel and dimed. you make a little money and you clear out some storage space. I would bet that you could fill and ton of want list with that many books..I know that you probably do not want to go through the hassle of sorting them though. I could not imagine how many books that must be. Where do you live? You could have someone come pick them up. that way no one has to pay for shipping..anyway just some thoughts...I know that it pains me as a valiant collector to know there are that many books without a loving home...

The "first year" (May 1991 to May 1992) books are in the 35,000 to 80,000 range.

As soon as you reach June 1992, they are 100,000+... and even escalate

to 250,000+ in the mid-1993 date ranges.

By 1996, print runs fall below 25,000... but collector interest fell quite a bit by then, too.

Gold and platinum issues are limited to 5,000 copies...

a few might be as high as 10,000.

 

In all, there are about 80,000,000 Valiant books in print (1991-1996)...

About 3% are "pre-Unity" books from the first year...

Another 5% are limited editions, Unity issues, or final issues...

and 92% of all Valiant books in print are the "other Valiants"

with little collector demand beyond just completing the runs...

Nice. I was in my stash looking through some long boxes I hadn't gone through yet and I came upon over a hundred Unity 0's and #1s. Also came upon over 30 Solar #1's, etc. (Plus untold thousands of other Valiants and hundreds of Pre-Unity Valiants but most are commons.)

Nope, no clue, but since they have more Valiant's in storage.....I have my fingers crossed that they have some more of the other pre-unity issues in quantity 893crossfingers-thumb.gif
