Ric Flair is the man.

In order to be the man you have to beat the man.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

my shoes. cost more. then your house.

Eddie Felson: How much did you take off Moselle? I heard a hundred...

Vincent: One Fifty!

Eddie Felson: [sarcastically] A hundred and fifty?

Vincent: That's right, a hundred and fifty.

Eddie Felson: You walk into a shoe store with a hundred and fifty bucks, you come out with one shoe!

Ric Flair is the man.

I sat behind him once in 1st Class to Charlotte after a Monday Night RAW in Buffalo. He was stylin'-and-profilin', that's for true, even on the 6:30am flight ~ he was all suited up and lookin' sharp! WOOOO! :D

I offered him a nod, said I was a big fan and eventually sat down in contemplative silence, having been awed by simply being in his presence...

:gossip:

An extremely polite gent to the flight attendants too, no joke.

... so, Wizard is ending its run you say? :/

you know I should find that last copy and buy it,...

Because I will never find the amusement I get when I look at that

bloated price guide.

Bloated price guide? You mean Overstreet?

The really sad part is that for 90% of what Wizard lists in their (tiny) price guide, they are far closer to reality than the OPG.

Thats funny. The minute I see a comic seller using Wizard to price their books, I turn around and leave the store.

Opinions vary. If I could've gotten the prices for moderns that they were saying I should

I would've retired on an island a long time ago.

Anyway I usually balance two things when buying.

PGA and OS Guide, leaning heavily to the PGA guide.

+1 Kind of...

Overstreet is terrible for modern books. BUT everyone knows that. They've always been clear that their prices for moderns were projections for the future, not current hot trends due to their once a year publication.

Soooooooooo... being better than Overstreet at modern prices isn't a statement of being a good price guide. Wizard was published monthly so they don't have an excuse for being so far off. A simple search of completed listings on eBay is a far better and more realistic price guide. I think the point people here are trying to make is that Wizard was usually above those values.
