Sharp Comics #1

Hi

 

I have checked the boards for no shows and unseen gold, Matt's unseen gold page and comics.org but have not come across an image of Sharp Comic # 1. Anyone have a scan they would be willing to share ?

I don't think it exists. I've been looking for almost 20 years and I've never seen one. I think it's an error in overstreet and #2 is a one-shot.

Nice cover on the #2... looks tough too based on Census.

 

My guess would be that the #1 is actually quite well known:

Warrior Comics #1

 

Does anyone know of any other comics published by H. C. Blackerby? Considering that there are only 2 on the GCD and that Warrior is a #1 and Sharp is a #2... Warrior #1 is dated 1945, I believe, while Sharp #2 is Spring 1946.

 

A guess, but I think a good one until someone can bring up other titles published by this company.

Just did a little search and I stand corrected... also Bingo #1 from 1945 (though the GCD has this as Howard, not Blackerby)... So, maybe take your pick?

 

Any others that I am overlooking?

I sent an email to Matt Nelson to see if he has an image or if he can also verify that it exists. If I hear anything i will update this post.
