It's amazing that in 1938 DC was promoting the future storyline of the World Without a Superman. I hope he gets the $100000, but if he plays his cards right, he could get a million for that beauty. It will be interesting if it sells.

I assume since hes showing scans of the inside covers that he has no clue it isnt the original. If he was trying to scam people, he'd probably just have a crappy cover photo.

 

How much would you pay to see his face when someone clues him in that he has a $3 reprint and not a $100,000+ original?

hmmm yes - it does seem strange how superman dies in his premiere issue and was perceived by publishers to be popular enough already to "imagine a world without him" .. oh well, just ask for $100,000 - clearly its worth at least that
