Anyone else think Mile High overgraded a little bit here?

That is ridiculous. How they have the balls to put a NM label on this book is beyond me. Apart from the general grubbiness, that thick readers' crease parallel with the spine alone would bring the book down to no higher than VG+.

Worst "professional" grading ever.

there has got to be more to the story than that. Maybe:

a.) It was bought in NM condition and hosed since then?

b.) It was purchased in NM, comic switched and resold on eBay ( popular stunt )

and so on.

It seems odd that MileHigh whom have been in the business that long would pull something like that.

You're right. Chuck would never overgrade nor overcharge for a comic.

Chuck is a god in the comic world.

That thing is so inconsistant with the grade that I'm guessing that it was simply mislabeled by the hired help.... 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

That would explain the chicken grease fingerprints on the book.

That is the worst-looking NM I've ever seen!

Obviously you've never seen a NM book from Stockwizard.

He and Chuck may have been the prototypes for The Wonder Twins.

You obviously have no experience with Mile High. This is par for the course for them. They buy truckloads of books like this from dealers. And Chuck brags about how quickly his people grade them and enter them into his system for his loyal waiting customers.

Even worse is that when you return one of their NM books as overgraded, Chuck politely asks you to take your business elsewhere cause he says he can never please us "mint freaks!"
