That one surprised me, to be honest. I thought it was a shoe-in for a 9.6 for sure. This copy exhibits very few problems common with Dollar Comics...and being an Adams cover too is very cool.

 

Oddly, this one was a gamble on eBay. For years I've been stuck with NM- copies (I think I've sold a few to you guys). Now if I can only rinse and repeat with 256.

Wow - congrats on the roll of the dice on ebay, Sterling! I have given up, for the most part, in finding any nice raw copies on the 'bay anymore, so it's nice to see a success story! (And I think I do have one or two of your NM- castoff dollar books!)

First off let me appologise if this is the wrong forum. My question is I Have a House of Mystery 174 that I just got graded and it came back 9.2 universal with white pages. I already have a 9.4 and I am selling this copy. What is a reasonable price to ask for this key (mystery format begins)? if I were to sell it on ComicLink or a similiar site? 400? 500? Way over , way short. Please let me know your opinions.

Way over. Or just list it and see what happens. I got my 9.6 for $1.1k or so...and these are not htf like 175/179

Ok, I seen that Metropolis sold a 9.4 recently for 1050 dollars... w/off white pages. Prices appear to be going up......

 

I guess thats good for me....

I did check GPA and 9.2 has gone for between $400 and $500...so I guess I've missed a few sales. So that range seems plausible.

 

Keep in mind that I had a 9.4 that sat for 6 months for significantly lower GPA...and sat until Comic Connect picked it up and it was sold on Heritage (the copy you refer to). So, I'm not totally convinced you'd get that amount unless you were willing to sit it out.
