Any boardie in Alberta Canada?

25 posts in this topic

There is a shop there that has something I like to buy but the shop doesn't take paypal, credit card or even cashier check...and I can't mail cash in an envelope. If anyone live nearby and can pick up the items, I will gladly send paypal cash if you can help out. No need to rush on shipping the item.

Thanks

Alberta is a big Province. You may want to indicate which city you're talking about.

There are a few boardies living in Alberta.

Well Red Deer is between Calgary and Edmonton which are the two largest cities in Alberta.

I know there are a few people from Edmonton. Not sure if any of them want to drive down to Red Deer, as it's 90 miles away. :tonofbricks:

I think this is the same Dave I purchased some Fortress's from. I sent him a Canada Post Money order. I don't know if that's a option now however with the Postal Strike.

yes, it is the same Dave and it is a few fortress holdersI would like to buy. He agreed to ship them via Fedex Ground if I am willing to pay.

It's about 150 miles South of me. I do head that way a couple times a year and

would be happy to stop next time I do but don't wanna make a special trip.

I will also PM 4 other local boardies.

I just sent a package to a boardie in Alberta....think it is Humantorch...

:foryou:

hope you didn't mind me saying that...

Not at all Marc.

Cool...I know some are a bit paranoid about their location being disclosed.

So what kind of Fortress is this?

Rigid plastic case that you place a comic in. Was the ultimate in comic

protection until CGC showed up.

I should have said...how is this fortress different than the old one? :tonofbricks: I used to have my AF15 in a fortress years ago.

I'm sure these are old Fortresses.

Years ago I popped into Red Deer to see if there were any comic stores.

I can't remember the name of the store I found but it was probably Dave's

Comics. He had a pile of low grade, SA key DCs in Fortresses and I was

interested in buying. Unfortunately, he was asking NM prices for G books

because they were keys. Wasn't even worth making a counter offer.

As Dave said it is rather out of the way for those of us that live in Edmonton. What are you trying to pick up? As we currently have a postal strike here in Canada, it would also be something that sticks around until that is resolved unless you are willing to pay for Fedex or some other courier service. Is it big? small?
