Great Jack Kirby Covers

I've always been partial to the Kirby Dr. Doom covers....like these...

#57 is the best of all the Doom covers.

 

#23 is a good one, and 16 is awesome too. Also, got a soft-spot for #84.

 

But #57 is the king of them all.

This was the kind of cover when you saw it on the rack, you had to sit down on the floor of the Pharmacy and read it RIGHT THERE. GOD BLESS...

I agree, the hero vs. hero covers are stirring, while the pre-hero covers bring out that childlike sense of wonder...

 

I really should watch that Kirby documentary on YouTube today...
