My first of the initial six & my first "Circle 12" in general.

 

Cover spine split on top reaches to the top of the upper staple; on the botton, the split does not reach the lower staple (just over an inch?). Cover is attached. "Best Wishes, Herb Trimpe" written on first page (I know, don't ask why).

On the basis of the spine-split I would say a 2.0 technically.....although looking better then that overall (3.0/3.5)

The spine splits bring it down to a 2.0 for me. Nice looking book.

It's just barely a 2.0, never mind the spine split. I disagree. I think you're looking at a 1.8, possible 1.5

Thanks everyone. I'm also in the 1.8 ~ 2.0 camp. No big glaring defect, but plenty of little ones that add up. Spine splits are bad, but the cover is still attached, so that gives me hope for 2.0.
