You're right...anyone got HG SA Marvel First issues to sell ?

Wish i did just to keep the comic book theme in this comic book forum going..Im sure it wont last..

I guess I don't understand how these images allow anyone to know something otherwise not apparent about an individual that can not be accomplished other ways.

I will return to the relative safety of the Sig room now. I spend WAY too much time reading these threads in CG. Very funny though lol

For what it's worth, this subject matter amused quite a few boardies... but not one in particular

The implication that we're somehow a threat to nocutename's safety has left me less than amused.

Problem is some here feel an inflated sense of "entitlement". For some reason it is inconceivable to them they are subject to rules on a private forum. They are children who test the boundaries of what they can get away with.

These pics/gifs have been around since these boards started, and there was even a thread dedicated to them that was allowed to run for a few years. So the gifs/pics in question WERE NOT outside of these "boundaries" you speak of because those boundaries were not clearly defined. Now they are.

Making passive-aggressive remarks, or indignantly demanding that others conform to an individual's personal standards, while making ZERO attempt to actually engage in a dialogue, is childish.

Why do you think the Mods had The Babe Test in the Testing Forum? But at some point even THAT got abused by the boundary testers. And it is gone.

Now, COI, have you SEEN the images that have been pulled over the years? You telling me those are within ANY boundary of decency? No need to haver to clearly define the limits - those were obviously outside the limits. But now we have the limits defined...as for a child...they had to be sat down and explained it.

Ridiculous.

And the new rule is in place and is defined.

Because the other thread went *splodo* I missed the end, but one of my favorite parts was the back and forth about the remote control and the blanket. Thanks for the 'tainment.

A term like "decency" has to be properly defined within the context of this place, not because we're children, but because we all have different conceptions of the term.

People have to learn to accept the highly relative nature of morality and concepts of decency, and act accordingly, which means actually engaging in a discussion without resorting to demands, or making snap judgments about character, moral fiber, or maturity level.

Thanks RMA! But continue to be against as well (not that I need to say that to you!)

A message board without dissenting ideas is akin to a place to post your thoughts and have everyone agreeing with each other.

Yes it is. Why everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and making a mountain out of a molehill over this is...weird.

Lots of angst over these images but NOW all these opinions come flying from the woodwork? This was over a gif in a sig line.

The resulting threads, while childish and immature, were not par for the course around here. Insinuating that they were is ridiculous. Acting as if there was porn posted everywhere on these boards is also ridiculous.

The bolded part above is what bothers me about the whole thing. Making demands without any attempt to have a discussion is ridiculous.

Let me share what I have lost in this mix.

- Someone I would have called a friend two days ago

- The security of feeling safe on this message board

Can you be more specific Jeannine?

Zero chance of that happening on this board. (thumbs u

If anyone threatened you, I'd be the first one to back you up. But that's not what happened here. You tried to make us feel shame, now you're trying to make us feel guilty. Very manipulative.

If you feel so unsafe here, leave.

Not manipulating anyone. I haven't shamed anyone just doing what I feel is right in this matter. I hardly thing any one posting in these spin off threads are feeling shame.

Perhaps everyone here forgets why this all came up. A picture was posted here of a woman having sex. Sorry for the being the ONLY female on these boards that find that completely unacceptable. Yes, I am the most irrational woman on these boards. Please. I am tired of being the troublemaker here.
