I like Motorhead.

Motorhead wrote the greatest rock song ever. They play it twelve times on each record.

They also know that if one mole is cool, 12 moles are cooler.

I digress, from my business meeting that is as it has hours to go.

Has desert been served?

Pass the tawny port.

Oh, and my favorite rock band is The Who.

I am ennobled to find that the Tall Texan has posted in my humble and rather nebulous thread (but then, aren't they all?). And yes, the Ace Of Spades is the greatest song ever written. Twas ever thus.

Afore the carriages arrive to dispatch ye party guests to their respective abodes, a wee word from young Robert Burns, och aye.

Should auld aquaintance be forgot,

and never brought to mind.

Should auld aquaintance be forgot,

for auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne my dear,

for auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

for auld lang syne.

We twa hae run aboot the braes,

And pu'd the gowans fine,

We've wandered mony's a weary step,

since auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidled i' the burn,

Frae morning sun til dine,

But seas between us braid hae roared,

Since auld lang syne.

And surely you'll be your pint stowp,

And surely I'll be mine,

We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

So here's a hand, my trusty fier,

And gie's a hand o' thine,

We'll drink a right guid williewaught,

For the sake of auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,

For the sake o' auld lang syne.

No problem, it's where I'd like the thread to go.

I grew up listening to both albums. I prefer Led Zeppelin, partly due to Floyd being unavoidable in the mid to late 1970s. They were on everyone's turntable at that time.

I got back into Zep around the time the DVD came out, after not playing them for a long while. They are now my favourite band. Both albums sound better on vinyl with a proper analogue system, for what it's worth.

For What it's Worth: (hey could that be a pun?)
