I have a figure collection that almost rivals my comic collection.

 

Mostly Card Back Star Wars Figures, but here are a few superhero types that

are striking a pose on top my dispaly case in my design studio.

I had my Alien Queen figure in my aquarium for a while.. but I was afraid the plastic might leach into the water... (not that it was scaring the fish or anything...)

Some of them, I haft to bust out and pick up a spare.

 

I don't know I'm just a 30 year old kid I guess,

back in the day Megos weren't half as cool as these are and I'm just envious

of todays kids. cool.gif

 

But hey, I don't know if you noticed it but the coolest figure of all time to me

is peeking in on the right - Mandarin Spawn: the Scarlet Edge.

 

Man, this figure has so much detail they must of slaved away on this one's sculpt.

Being serious - This is a little prop I used as a Design Promo for myself.

Most of us designers are weird, just to let you know in advance.

 

The promo consist of my schoolastic final art show poster where I take a stab at the corporate

raiders that insist on pushing money and greed before good design.

 

I love to use a double pun technique when I can,

since My Name is Wally LAMB I decided to to a wolf in sheeps clothing venue idea to

enforce my namesake and a good artist under the corporate cloak as my promo poster.

I noticed someone talking in a previous thread about Illustration skills here is a x-mas card

I drew the inside caption reads "aww screw it, happy holidays"!!

I too have a box of Spawn stuff , and about 2 other stuffed boxe's of other stuff,

all from early nineties

 

 

 

I had the toy bug for awhile, but had to get over it.

Comics are for me now.

 

 

I was at Target the other day and saw a 18 inch, 68 point articulation Spiderman toy.

Was huge and ultra detailed

looked kinda like the artists posing wooden dummy.

I mean he could do anything..

looked really really neat

anybody seen it?

 

Every time I go out to stores, and see all the Lord of The rings stuff that is available.

I keep thinking, if someone had a boatload of money, and time

You could make one hell of a LOTR battle scene recreation . in your garage or basement.

I cant believe the amount of items they made for this franchise......

And all of it is high quality too.

When you hit it on the head, it would drop its short shorts and then pull them up again.

After a while,it broke and just started dropping the short shorts randomly.

Got to be a bit of an embarrassment, so I got rid of it... confused-smiley-013.gif
