I always thought a couple of threads would work well.

 

Moderns that always sell well.

Ebay heating up thread

Modern Variant Thread

Modern Speculation Thread

This book is a pain to find

 

And So on. It would clear up the Heating Up Thread.

 

 

 

No offense, but doing this would all but ensure the Modern section would be nothing but talk about values and speculation. We have too little talk about the actual comics/art/stories as it is.

 

 

I completely disagree there though, its been that for a long time. There all types of threads on books here. Bedlam,Revival, Chew, No Place like Home and so on. The problem is the modern board is full of speculators like it or not. CBR is a better board just for comics/art and stories discussion. I was just trying to clear out one thread of some unrelated stuff. I understand your point though.

 

Fair point. I've always appreciated the balanced threads, that have people talking $ and story. CBR and other forums are too fan boyish, unfortunately. Love this place, though.

 

Speculation is great, I just don't want it to sway too far that way for love of the story...

This is my problem as well. I am starting a Revival and Bedlam collection and with so many of these phantom variants being released (6 to 12 of each) for these and the fact I live in the UK it's going to be a huge headache for me to get hold of them all, especially if I want 9.8 copies, not to mention expensive.

 

Unless I can get help I think I am simply going to ignore these for any 9.8 collection (for the registry) I am planning on doing, which is a complete shame as the Bedlam cover is the best I have seen.

I know its a little earlier to speculate and Im just some newbie, but I kind of think the bravest warriors was a flop with all of the variants

A flop after 1 day of release? There's really no cartoon to support it until Nov 8th. Once kids start watching the cartoon the #1 will long be sold out. It's then you'll see some interest.
