I thought Shadowman #1 from Valiant was superb.

 

This may quickly become my favorite story in the new Valiant universe. I love the art as well.

edit - The Batman die-cut was from Fee-bay, not anticipating an amazing copy - far from it - but bought it as a reader.

Deadpool #1 has a ton of variants, but are selling pretty well.

I also think Shadowman #1 Sketch variant is pretty sick, I was only able to pick up regular copy and 1:25 variant

I just finished reading it and I know my son is going to like it as I'm sure your son will too if he enjoys Deadpool.

Yeah, all the pullbox versions at my LCS had bad creases on the bottom right corner but not the regular covers?!

I picked through about 10 at Midtown (east side) today to find two that were safely 9.4+ to my discerning eyes. An ugly ulc was to blame for most of the rejects, including some with tiny spine split at the top (what some call a bindery defect).

I am loving all these Deadpool variants more so than any book with variants Bedlam....

 

The Deadpool's are just plain cool. The Tony Moore and Phantom are tied as my favorites.

The Deadpool Hastings variant sold out for me on the board and ebay within hours. I sold them for 20 shipped on ebay x3 and rest 10 each here. No one really gave a crud for the Iron Man either place.

The black shadowman covers were all dented at my shop too...like thumb dents on the front bottom right. I picked one up anyway.

Mine all had dents in the upper left corner, but I did get one signed by the valiant owner/publisher that happened to be there

I thought Hawkeye would do well from the start. Great artwork and a great writer (when it's not a team book). I like that it's rising in price, not to make a profit, but that people are taking notice of it.
