Agree with the above

 

Mainly I believe if you are the first ones with an item you might as well attempt to set the price yourself - especially if demand is high

 

Just follow the current trend and add something about PP in your description - seems to be working wonders

So there are boardies ready to jump on a Sixth Gun #1 9.8 CGC for $750?

 

If that's the case, I won't even be heading to the bay when mine get back.

 

I've got three that were so mint they required a Pinkerton guard for transfer to the CGC....lol.

 

Already off to the slabbage patch.

 

And before anyone loses their mind pointing out that you're not supposed to sell stuff in these threads.....I'm not. Just reflecting on what I've seen posted and letting my stream of consciousness do the walking.

Just got back from my LCS.......they ordered 26 copies of Batman Inc # 8. I called my back up store and he ordered 30. They said their phones had been ringing off the hook with people asking about them and they said they had no idea it was going to be a big book. Make of this what you will ......

Exactly he couldnt have made a better point.

 

TSG is great dont get me wrong, but would we even be talking about this book without a Pilot? Yes its a low print run book and it does read well, but the TV talk is what got everyone's attention.

 

gospel. just go look at the Sixth Gun thread, was nearly 2 years old and had about 4 pages. TV show mentioned and it was off to the races.

Bought 50 for $1.79 each. Sold them all around $15-$20 each the first week

 

you are missing the point extremely. No one loses money buying comics for less than cover. How did it work out for the people who bought them from you.

 

and people paid more than that for them during the mania.

All pass on that fiasco. I seriously doubt it will reach ASM 700 levels.

 

Be wary of DC printing enough for a reorder. Could be a quick flip. Are they honestly going to miss their own boat after Batgirl 13 or do they actually want to pander to the secondary market?
