That's not true at all.

 

Image wasn't through the roof like it is now, but Proof was part of a previous hot streak that included books like Morning Glories, 27, Skullkickers, and a few others.

 

Proof #1 was a $30+ book for a while.

Whoah!!! I absolutely love Skullkickers. One of the funniest books out right now. Also a great Munchkin booster.

 

I would also say that Proof was more of the Image group that included stuff like Fell, Nightly News, etc...

 

Also, if I ever get an issue #2 of Pretty-Baby-Machine, I'll be happy.

Yeah, you're right - the series started a little earlier, but was hot around the same time as those others IIRC.

 

Fell was a pretty awesome book. Did Ellis ever finish a the story? I kind of gave up when he was putting out 2 issues a year.

Amazing Spider-Man #700 Ditko Variant @ $105+ & 7 bids. meh, I think the actual artwork used on AF #15 was better.

It sure was. The print run on that book was tiny, and i know exactly where 1/2 of the print run is right now.

 

Proof went in the tank right when I got my hands on 8 copies of NB7
