I've been hearing rumors that Darkhawk #1 CGC 9.8 has been on the rise for the past 6 weeks. Including some private pm sells of the book here on these forums. hm

I've noticed this as well. I apologize for my ignorance, but is there any reason for it? Did Avengers Arena really cause that jump?

 

All I know is that I bought one out of nostalgia. How many others are doing the same is anyone's guess. But the whole kings of kings story line might of given him just a bit more spotlight for those unaware of the character. And after the kings of kings he's more of a universe type entity/character and since the Guardians of the Galaxy movie announcement, Marvel space characters have become hot.

 

All theories of course.

 

I know issue 1 is his first appearance but the only issues worth collecting from the series are the last 2.

The venom appearances seem to get hot and cold

The Activity is still smoking.....sold two sets of # 1 and 2 for $60 BIN....... No one else has any copies????? Not that I mind.........

 

Are you the one selling them as NM and you zoom in to see spin ticks?

 

Those have been the only 1/2 and 1/2/3 that I've seen.

Guardians of the Galaxy #24 and #25. I just picked them up for $3.25 each. Sell or hold?

 

25 should sell easily. 24 may take a bit. I've had success selling them together in the past. I think 24 will be able to stand on its own before too long.

I'm pretty sure they are both holding out for a tv show off the back of the Activity though it'll be a hard sell due to very low sales and well, cos the comic isn't any good. With sales the way they are I doubt Nathan and Mitch are making any money off it at all just now. Nathan has got his pals like writer Brad Thor to post on twitter about how awesome the Activity is but I think people can usually tell when another writer genuinely loves a book and posts about it and when they are just posting as a favour. Like when you take the hyped blurb on the front of a #1 comic with a rather large pinch of salt or possibly ignore it altogether. I think they've done just about everything they can to push it bar billboard and tv ads. I guess they have a lot of faith in those "talks". I'm just not sure why he's pushing this book so hard. WIJE? was his good book.

I completely agree about issue 24. It's funny to me that its the Thanos cover and not the variant for 25 that is prized. That doesn't happen to often.
