Who in the heck would send a 1.0 incomplete 70s comic into be graded!?

confused.gif

That's easy...

It was someone who bought the book already "bagged and boarded",

and decided not to cause further damage by actually opening the book

and seeing if it was complete. They sent it directly to CGC "as good as it could be".

Who wants to bet they expected at least a 7.5?

They could have at least pulled the little red "yard sale" dot off the front cover.

That may have pulled it up in the 1.5 range.

Why do people assume that folks using the CGC service know the first thing about grading comic books? Start buying collections, you'll find out VERY quickly that even people with some pretty cool books often don't know the first thing about grading. People sending in books like this is not really a surprise. It's one small step from someone listing their "MINT" VG books for sale in the paper to sending them down to Sarasota.

At least half of the [!@#%^&^] in the census is worth less than the slab it's in. Why's this any different?

Not different at all...but I would take it for a buck...

Got a buck...you're in luck...Hulk 181 grin.gif

I can honesty say I have not seen a more affordable copy of this book.

Yuo could probably pick up a NM cover for about the same price. After all if its in a CGC slab who needs the pages? 893scratchchin-thumb.gifdevil.gif

Nope, the Qualified label is only used when a comic is *otherwise" in a higher grade, had the damage not been there.

This is a POS copy, so the it's likely a 1.0 either way.
