*9.4-9.6 SILVER AGE MARVELS & DC’S FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER “PHILADELPHIA STORY” COLLECTION:

This amazing group of books comes from an original owner collection of 1,250 comics out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that was debuted at the recent New York Comic Con. Almost every book offered in the auction (40) is a CGC graded 9.4 and higher with white or off-white to white page quality and the few that didn’t grade that high are 9.2’s. Titles include Amazing Spider-Man Annual, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four Annual, Green Lantern, Incredible Hulk Annual, Journey Into Mystery, Tales to Astonish, Thor and X-Men. The 40 comics were all cherry-picked at the comic con and were the nicest books in the collection. Almost incredibly, the books were never bagged or boarded, they were read only once and then just stacked in neat piles on a shelf. The original owner had the foresight to alternate the issues on top of each other so as to prevent spine rolls. The books are flat, glossy and newsstand fresh with exceptional eye appeal.

*9.6-9.8 BRONZE AGE MARVEL KEYS:

There are plenty of late 1960’s and early 1970’s Marvels to choose from, including many keys and first appearance issues. Highlights include Amazing Spider-Man 101 9.8; Amazing Spider-Man #129 9.8; Amazing Spider-Man 129 9.6; Captain America #100 9.6; Conan the Barbarian 1 9.6; Giant-Size X-Men #1 9.8; Giant-Size X-Men 1 9.6; Incredible Hulk 102 9.6; Incredible Hulk #181 9.6; Iron Man #1 9.8; Iron Man and Sub-Mariner 1 9.6; Nick Fury #1 9.8; Nick Fury #7 9.8; Sub-Mariner #1 9.8; Thor 193 9.8 (Twin Cities); Tomb of Dracula #1 9.8; Tomb of Dracula #10 9.8 and X-Men #94 9.6.

Please make sure to check this space and the Pedigree Comics website next week for all the new announcements and latest additions for the auction. There are still over 125 high grade books to be added, many from the recent New York Comic Con, and these books will be back from the CGC and then scanned and uploaded this weekend in time for the auction commencement.

Pedigree Comics will continue to accept consignments for the auction, even after the auction commencement, until midnight on Thursday, November 10th, so check the site (www.PedigreeComics.com) for consignment instructions and get your books in as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or comments about the consignment process, any of the auction lots or about the Grand Auction in general, as well as how to consign your CGC graded books for Pedigree’s upcoming January Grand Auction, please contact Pedigree’s CEO and President, Doug Schmell, at (561) 422-1120 (office) or (561) 596-9111 (mobile) or by email at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com. For any financial related and consignment payment questions, please contact Pedigree's CFO Lisa Shapiro at Lisa@pedigreecomics.com and for any technical related questions or concerns, please contact their Web Master at WebDesigner@pedigreecomics.com.

Consignors maximize their profits selling in Pedigree’s Grand Auctions, more so than on any other auction site or auction house. Pedigree does not charge a Buyers Premium, an amount that most bidders take into consideration when bidding in other sites (the bidders simply deduct that Buyers Premium amount from their final bidding price, meaning less $$ to the consignor and more to the auction site). The higher the value of your book(s) that sell in a Grand Auction, the more $$ you take home under Pedigree Comics’ Climbing Scale. We consistently set new sales records for Silver and Bronze Age comics in each Grand Auction and on our regular site inventory. Grand Auctions are unique and exciting, with new and diversified, top-rated CGC material in each event. Why settle for less by consigning with someone else?

Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. It is actually very easy and fun to do. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. We will receive an email notification automatically once you have uploaded the information and we will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the Grand Auction to be bid on. You will be amazed how simple it is to utilize the Automated Consignment System.
