ASM #1 on Pawn Stars tonight

I say around a 5 to 5.5

Hard to tell from that quick shot, but that would be the world's sweetest 5.0...no chipping either.

If it's a 6.0 OSPG is what? $4500-5000. What's that slabbed?

From the teaser they called their toy guy to give a value.

So the same guy that sells transformers is going to be their expert? Holy Guacamole.

Let's see if he even peeks inside for resto, or missing pieces.

It doesn't matter what they offered. That show is a complete fraud anyway.

They constantly hand items to people coming in to the store, and tell them what to say.

A friend of mine was on the show. The item he sold was his and the story he told was 100% legit.

I'm not saying that all of them are not true. I just remember someone from another board mentioning how he walked into the store once and was handed some antique item and they told him exactly what to say.

There are entire websites dedicated to proving these "reality" tv shows as fakes. Pawn Stars stages stuff just like all the rest. Sure sometimes someone will come in with a legit item but more often than not they be staged.

Sons of Guns is the worst of them all. I would say Moonshiners was but there is absolutely nothing real about that show to even be able to claim it is reality tv.

Oh yeah, all of these shows are fake, but entertaining. Like that new Comic Book Men show in AMC. They are apparently going to be buying and selling high end books on the show, but when me and my friends went in there a month ago, they didn't have anything worth more than $500.

And the toy guy might know his comics, but I doubt he's the right person to call on this.

Or he could be their buddy, gets a spot on the show and a bump for his business as long as he "helps them out".

I'd never take an appraisal from someone I didn't know and who came recommended by the guy trying to buy the item from me.

I'm pretty sure the hoarder shows are real as you couldn't fake that disgusting mess!
