Sticker residue & CGC

Got a nice book recently and for some godforsaken dumb reason, a previous owner had placed a tiny red circle sticker on the back cover which easily peeled off.

 

Will this result in a PLOD if I send it in? If so, putting a new sticker over it seems pretty dumb just to get a Blue label.

I hope you don't mind if I borrow your thread rather than start my own.

 

But, what if....

 

...you remove a tape that's holding a tear together, the tape residue that is left you roll it 'til you get a 1/4 inch long tread of glue and since the torn paper has a bit of an overlap, you place the tape residue between the overlapping tears and seal it.

 

Would that be considered restoration?
